US Postal Inspectors Warn of SPAM Emails

The United States Postal Inspection Service has issued a warning of a recent scam relating to bogus emails sent to try to extract personal information from customers. The email will claim to be from the USPS saying that a package is unable to be delivered. Customers are then asked to click on a link or open an attachment and then print a label. If the link or attachment is opened, it could activate the virus that can steal personal information such as user names, passwords and other financial information.

The US Postal Inspectors advises not to click or open the attachment but to forward the email to spam@uspis.gov then delete the email.
