• United State Post Office to Close Mainland Mail Processing Plants, Hawaii Not Affected

The U.S. Postal Service announced last May 17th, its plan to close down 48 mail processing plants on the Mainland this summer. This is part of their cost-cutting measures to trim $1.2 billion from the agency's budget. Out of the 48, none of the plants in Hawaii are marked to be closed down.
